Energy Sampling Services is designed for the collection of accurate and consistent oil and gas field data. Proper techniques and routine sampling must be implemented to provide this vital service. Sampling can be a costly service that is typically provided at no charge so emphasis is not always timely or detailed.
With over 15 years experience in oilfield production, completion, midstream and downstream sectors, Energy Sampling Services personnel have sampled tens of thousands of locations in all of the basins of the continental United States, as well as sites in Alberta, Canada, and even the Middle East. Easily finding these well locations, gathering facilities and pipelines is another service that keeps the process timely and reduces costs to the client.
Energy Sampling Services was developed to aid operators and service companies in obtaining this data, essential to providing necessary and reliable energy today.
Knowing where a sample can be collected is the first critical aspect.
These are just a few of the vital aspects of proper field data collection.
Field sampling is often over looked by service companies because it doesn't always directly generate revenue. This data is critical in creating trends, chemical program adjustments or new well decisions.
Energy Sampling Services can accurately capture this data on time, every time!
Field sampling is not as easy as just opening a valve and collecting the fluids or gas. Many safety and environmental concerns need to be addressed prior to any collection process. Pressure, temperature, flammable vapors, hydrogen sulfide gas and harmful chemicals always need to be recognized beforehand. Sample locations are often located in tight quarters and one needs an awareness of their surroundings and equipment. Hydrocarbons need to be captured in a steel container that is properly grounded or bonded to eliminate static discharge. Energy Sampling Services personnel are trained in field operations and have the following certifications.

Environmental measures must be considered when purging or flushing a sample point. These discarded fluids need to be disposed of properly to prevent any harmful contamination of the lease site.
Produced water samples for a Complete Water Analysis, Phosphate and Amine Residuals or Fe/Mn. Crude Oil Samples for API Gravity, Paraffin/Asphaltene content or other lab analysis.
Time Critical Dissolved Gases Include pH, Carbon Dioxide, Bicarbonates and Hydrogen Sulfide. A Chlorides Count can be performed as well.
On-Site APB/SRB Serial Dilution Vial Inoculation or ATP Reading. Other Bacteria Testing Methods available as well.
Gas Bomb Sampling for a Composite Gas Analysis.
A Full SWD Service is offered including a Complete Water Analysis with Field Gases, Millipore Filter Analysis, Serial Dilution Bottle Inoculation or ATP Reading, Total Percent Hydrocarbon Sample, and Dissolved Oxygen.
Millipore Filter Analysis Testing can be provided for SWD inlets, discharges or elsewhere in your water system.
Gas Readings of Hydrogen Sulfide, Carbon Dioxide, Water Vapor and others can be gathered throughout your gas infrastructure.
Corrosion and Scale Coupons of all types can be routinely replaced on both High and Low Pressure Systems.
We offer Thermal Imaging for SWD tanks, separators and other vessels. This can help determine interface pads, fluid levels and inconsistencies in flow.
Basic Sediment and Water (BS&W) along with paraffin and emulsions can be determined with a Wellhead Grind-Out.
Tank Thiefing Services are offered for samples at the top, middle and bottom of a stock or other tanks. A sample can be collected or just observed to visually check fluids and levels.
Need a service performed that is not listed? Just ask and we should be able to help!
Samples can be delivered to a preferred lab or your current chemical vendor's lab. If you don't have a lab of choice, we can help recommend one for you.
